Week 18

For this child I prayed, and the LORD has granted me my petition that I made to him.
1 Samuel 1:27

On Monday, we reached 18 weeks and moved past the point when we lost Duncan, a milestone we have anxiously anticipated.  God continues to hold our hands and our hearts so closely as He walks us through this pregnancy. I praise Him for the family and friends who continue to remind us of how much He is doing in our lives. He is touching the hearts of so many through this pregnancy, and it is an absolute honor to be a part of this blessing.

Today, was our anatomy ultrasound.  The sonographer had a less than perfect experience attempting to capture adequate scans. One of the more important ones, the head, was the most difficult. After I drank soda, wiggled, jiggled, turned, moved, and begged; this baby refused to move into a better position. As per my suspicion, this baby may be headstrong and determined like me.  Overall though, the baby looks healthy and is growing appropriately.  To further prove the Moses legend, "girls marry into the family," we are having a boy!
